We see our cat doing things like this so often - the ridiculous ways she eats and drinks water. It's their desire for sustenance fighting with their laziness. One of our favorite ways that she drinks and eats is just… flopping onto her side next to her bowls and then using her paw - either dipping it into the water bowl and licking the water off of it or using her claws to grab a single piece of food at a time and bring it directly to her mouth. It's one of the most hilarious things, and we love her so, so much.

And this feeling literally never goes away. We have been cat owners for over a decade - same cat, and yet, every once in a while, when we see her trotting through the apartment, looking for things to do, enjoying her simple little life, we are overtaken with such gratitude and joy. A little ray of sunshine just… existing in our homes, spreading calmness and joy everywhere she goes. We could not be more thankful to have been chosen by her back in the day, and we will keep feeling thankful for each and every single day that we have her with us.
